The appraisal of the deepest well drilled independently by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will be carried out shortly after the launching of an exploitation column, the oil and gas production unit Azneft told Trend.
In January 2006 the SOCAR accomplished drilling the well on 8 March field with the depth of approximately 5,768 meters.
The project depth of the well is some 5,850 meters, which has no analogue at the fields of SOCAR. The well is expected to give 500,000 sq m of gas a day.
