The net profit of Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan for the first quarter of 2019 increased 2.5 times compared with the same period last of the previous year and amounted to 1.686 million manats, Trend reports referring to the bank.
The bank's report for the first quarter of 2019 shows that its net interest income increased by 10 percent to 7.62 million manats, and operating profit increased by 21 percent to 4.19 million manats.
The amount of deductions for the creation of special reserves dropped by 22 percent. Deposits of individuals on demand increased by 28 percent. The bank's loan portfolio increased by 13 percent, reaching 163 million manats in the first quarter of 2019.
In the capital structure, the bank's own capital increased by 9 percent to 66.3 million manats, while total capital increased by 11 percent to 71.3 million manats compared to the same period last year. The bank also increased the capital adequacy ratio from 20.7 percent to 23.1 percent since the end of last year, which is above the minimum level.
