Russia's VEB (formerly Vnesheconombank) has provided Uzbek Turonbank with a loan for construction of a hydropower plant, Trend reports via Uzbekhydroenergo (Uzbekistan's state hydropower producer).
VEB has provided three loans worth 101.3 million euros to Turonbank for construction and modernization of hydroelectric power plants in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekhydroenergo will be engaged in implementation of the mentioned projects.
VEB's funds will be used as part of Uzbekistan's hydropower development program for 2017-2021.
Uzbekhydroenergo is preparing new projects to build and modernize hydropower plants in Surkhandarya, Syrdarya and Samarkand regions.
