Turkmenistan is preparing national investment program, Trend reports referring to the local Altyn Asyr TV channel.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on this issue with the participation of the governors of Ashgabat city and the country’s provinces.
A report on the implementation of the Program of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, the Program for the Industrialization of Turkmenistan for the Period until 2030 and the National Rural Program was also heard during the meeting.
It was noted that special attention is paid to the issues of turning Turkmenistan into the country with a developed industry.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for digitalization of the economy, which will make it possible to develop the economy and forms of ownership on a multilateral basis.
The president instructed the relevant structures of the fuel and energy complex to intensify its activity in July 2019 by attracting specialized foreign companies and their investments.
Turkmenistan is one of the key suppliers of natural gas in the Caspian region, selling this type of fuel to China and Russia.
