The number of loans issued for the purchase of agricultural machinery in Iran has doubled during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director of the Iranian Agricultural Equipment Development Center Kambiz Abbasi said, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad of Iran.
Abbasi noted that in total, 33 trillion rials (about $786 million) worth of loans was issued in this direction.
“On November 1, 2021, it was decided to provide loans worth 7 trillion rials (about $166 million) for the purchase of agricultural machinery for various provinces,” he added.
The director emphasized that currently, more attention is paid to the purchase of machinery for the cultivation and harvesting of horticultural products, compared to previous years. At present, there are 90 companies operating on the manufacturing of machinery for the cultivation and harvesting of garden products.
