TEHRAN, Iran, June 7. Iran is negotiating with the Universal Postal Union(UPU) to solve the barriers that limit the country in international postal service, said the Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Issa Zarepour, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"According to talks with the secretary-general of the UPU, several mechanisms will be established to solve the issues in international post," he posted on his Instagram.
He pointed out that Iran National Post Company is seeking to expand ties with the Universal Postal Union.
The Minister has demanded the secretary-general solve the limitations caused by sanctions against Iran on international postal routes.
According to the official, some countries have reduced their postal ties with Iran or created obstacles to financial payments.
