Over the period of the January-October the Ministry of Telecommunications and IT Technology of Azerbaijan invested AZN 26,594,600 into the telecommunication project of the country. According to the Ministry financial assets mainly were directed towards the reconstruction of communication systems and the construction of new telephone lines both in Baku suburbs and the regions of the country.
Over this period the company of Aztelecom invested AZN 10,410,500, Baki Telefon Rabitasi invested AZN 11,386,100, Teleradio invested AZN 1,788,300, State Company Azerpocht invested AZN 1,536,100 into the telecommunication sector of the country.
In 2005 the Ministry invested AZM 157,571 bln (about AZM 66 bln more than in 2004) into the telecommunication project of the country.
According to the National Bank of Azerbaijan, as of 7 November 2006 the official rate of exchange of one $US is AZN 0, 8730.
