BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 25. Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with Tajikistan totaled $1.134 million from January through September 2024, which is a 35.7 percent decline compared to the same period in 2023, when it was $1.763 million, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the exports to Tajikistan amounted to $17,383, a sharp decrease of 98.4 percent from $1.095 million during the first nine months of 2023.
Meanwhile, imports from Tajikistan reached $1.117 million, rising by 67.2 percent from $668,275 in the same period last year.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $12 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a rise of 8.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Exports totaled $2.7 billion, which is a 28.2 percent increase, while imports amounted to $9.2 billion, growing by 3.7 percent.
At the same time, Tajikistan's total foreign trade turnover for the first nine months reached nearly $6.5 billion, which is a 25.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
