ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 9. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Netherlands amounted to more than 24.65 million euros in the period from January through May 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures indicate a decrease of 1.4 percent compared to the trade turnover in the first five months of the previous year, which was 25 million euros.
Turkmenistan's exports to the Netherlands from January through May 2023 amounted to almost 1.6 million euros, showing a substantial increase of 3.3 times compared to the same months in 2022, when it was 472,230 euros.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan reduced its imports from the Netherlands by 7.2 percent in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 (24.53 million euros), resulting in imports of 22.75 million euros.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Netherlands for the whole of 2022 amounted to 83.86 million euros, which is 17.3 percent more than the trade turnover in 2021, which amounted to 71.45 billion euros.
