BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Iranian banks extended loans worth 2.25 quadrillion rials (about $5.78 billion) in the service sector during the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Central Bank said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, over the past two months, loans totaling 1.66 trillion rials (about $4.26 billion) were issued in the Iranian services sector as working capital.
The statistics note that in 2 months, Iranian banks have issued loans of 424 trillion rials (about $1.08 billion) for the establishment of enterprises and facilities in the service sector.
The information notes that about 120 trillion rials (about $306 million) worth of loans were granted for development and about 22.5 trillion rials (about $57.6 million) for self-employment in the service sector.
In addition, the statistics added that Iranian banks provided consumer loans of 8.8 trillion riyals (about $ 22.6 million) and 4.06 trillion riyals (about $10.04 million) for repair work in the service sector.
To note, Iranian banks issued loans worth about 5.73 quadrillion rials (about $14.7 billion) during the second month of the current Iranian year.
