BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. The revenue of Iran's Mobarakeh Steel Company in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) amounted to 180 trillion rials (about $460 million) with the production of 12 new types of products, Trend reports.
The information notes that the company produced about 8.63 million tons of sponge iron last year. This is 0.4 percent more than a year earlier (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
Furthermore, the information indicates that the company produced 8.85 million tons of slabs last year. This represents an increase of 101 percent over the previous year.
The company also produced 6.65 million tons of hot coil last year. It recorded a production growth of 1 percent.
To note, Iran's Mobarakeh steel company was founded in 1981. This company is located in Iran's Isfahan province. This company has a production capacity of 10.3 million tons per year, and it is planned to increase the production capacity to 25 million tons by March 20, 2025.
Iran's steel production potential is about 40 million tons per year. Iran aims to increase its steel production capacity to 55 million tons by 2025.
