Iran's IRENEX throws light on its weekly sales figures

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. The sales volume at the Iran Energy Exchange totaled 57.7 trillion rials (about $101 million) last week (from February 1 through February 5), Trend reports via IRENEX.

As many as 132,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth 44.9 trillion rials (about $78.7 million) were traded at the Iranian Energy Exchange last week. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), naphtha, pyrolysis gasoline, and other fuels were mainly sold on the exchange. On the domestic market of the Energy Exchange, 44,800 tons of products worth 16.1 trillion rials (about $28.2 million) were marketed. The international section of the exchange auctioned products worth 28.8 trillion rials (about $50.5 million).

A total of 965 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 4.66 trillion rials (about $8.16 million) was traded at the energy exchange last week.

The value of the remaining purchases and sales at the Energy Exchange stood at 8.1 trillion rials (about $14.2 million).

To note, the sale of hydrocarbon products in Iran's Energy Exchange is of great importance. Iran is striving to provide local companies with hydrocarbon products and increase exports via the Energy Exchange.
