BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. Iran’s non-oil exports to Georgia have decreased by 5.9 percent in value and 7 percent in weight during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025), compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s Customs Administration indicates that the country exported non-oil products worth $30.7 million and totaling nearly 74,800 tons to Georgia during the first two months of the current Iranian year. This marks a decline from approximately $32.7 million and 80,000 tons recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The export portfolio from Iran to Georgia predominantly
encompasses agrarian commodities, metallurgical outputs, an array
of piping solutions, mineralogical resources, vitreous materials,
and petrochemical derivatives.
In the interim, the bilateral trade dynamics between the nations
during the specified timeframe culminated in an approximate
turnover of $43.9 million and a throughput of 78,900 tons,
indicating a contraction of 24 percent in monetary terms and a
reduction of 10 percent in volumetric metrics relative to the
preceding year.
Furthermore, the data disseminated by Iran's Customs Administration
indicates that the aggregate value of Iran's non-oil exports in the
initial bi-monthly period of the current fiscal year reached $8.24
billion, with a corresponding weight of 24.6 million tons. Despite
a marginal contraction of 0.11 percent in the valuation of non-oil
exports relative to the previous fiscal year, the volumetric weight
of exports experienced a significant uptick of 4.4 percent.
