Exports of goods through the customs of Iran’s western Kermanshah Province increased by 13 percent during the first two months (March 21-May 21) of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), compared to the same period last year (started on March 21, 2018), Khalil Heydari, Director of Kermanshah Customs Administration, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Heydari, exports of products have increased by 12 percent in terms of weight. He added that 1,047 million tons of goods worth $478.9 million were exported through the customs and border markets of Kermanshah Province in two months.
"Some 626,000 tons of products worth $281.9 million were exported through Kermanshah, Parvizkhan, Khosravi and Paveh customs points. These figures show a 26-percent increase in terms of value and a 7-percent increase in terms of weight, compared to the same period last year," he said.
Heydari stated that during the same period, other Iranian customs exported 421,000 tons of products worth $197.05 million through Kermanshah Province. These figures indicate a 21-percent increase in terms of weight and one-percent decrease in terms of value, compared to the same period last year.
He further noted that tomatoes, watermelons, melons, iron and steel fittings, various ice creams, air conditioners, domestic appliances, rubber items, and various dairy products were exported through the provincial customs.
Heydari said that over past two months, Iranian goods were exported to 12 countries through the customs of Kermanshah Province and the major part was exported to Iraq.
