BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Iran’s National South Oil Company (NISOC) plans to start studies on oil reservoirs to boost crude oil production in the Aghajari region, Trend reports.
NISOC’s managing director Ibrahim Piramun said at a meeting held at Iran’s Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company (AOGPC) for discussing increasing oil well output.
Piramun stated that all issues related to production, operational obstacles, and budget allocations have been reviewed. Achieving maximum production in the Southern Oil Zones is a top priority for the company.
He emphasized that AOGPC plays a significant role in achieving NISOC’s production goals. He noted that the current production in the company is below its potential, and plans should be executed to enhance output.
The official added that drilling capacities and other equipment will be provided to commence operations, which are expected to result in a moderate increase in production by the end of the current year (March 20, 2025).
