BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Iran's Persian Gulf Hoveyzeh Gas Refining Company needs $200 million in investment to collect flare gas from the Darkhovin and West Karun gas fields, the company's CEO Afshin Kiani told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that the above investment is planned to be made within the next 25 months.
Kiani explained that if the planned work is implemented in the mentioned fields, two to three million cubic meters of flare gas will be collected daily.
"The Persian Gulf Hoveyzeh Gas Refining Company is currently collecting 140-145 million cubic feet (about 3.96-4.1 million cubic meters) per day from various reservoirs, which is about 4,000 tons of gas.
This potential can increase to 500 million cubic feet (about 14.2 million cubic meters) per day. This means about 14,300 tons of gas," he noted.
Persian Gulf Hoveyzeh Gas Refining Company was established in 2017. This company is located on an area of 180 hectares in the Hoveyzeh district of Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran.
