Azerbaijan continues to develop major gas field in Caspian Sea
Azerbaijan continues work on the development and drilling within the second stage of elaboration of the Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
Currently, the work on drilling of well SDG 02 is underway at the Shah Deniz. Drilling of the second section of the well will be completed and drilling of a third one will be started in the near future. The source said that the depth of the second section is about 1,400 meters.
New directions of petroleum products export from Azerbaijan announced
SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) transports a part of petroleum products, exported by transit through Russia, via the Sea of Azov, a source on the oil and gas market of Azerbaijan said.
"There are several routes via which petroleum products are exported through Russia," said the source. "Some of them are transported through the port of Azov in the Sea of Azov. Another part is transported via the more northern routes, including the route via the Baltic Sea." The source didn't mention more specific routes and customers.
At present, about 40,000 metric tons of petroleum products have already been exported through Russia. At present, the State Oil Company exports two types of petroleum products of transit through the territory of Russia: diesel oil and vacuum gas oil.
Turkmenistan in talks with Azerbaijan, Turkey on gas export to Europe
Turkmenistan is in talks with Azerbaijan and Turkey on the issue of implementation of the European vector of its gas export, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamadov said after the meeting with President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, who is in Ashgabat on an official visit.
"Now we hold tripartite negotiations with Azerbaijan and Turkey," said Berdimuhammadov.
"I hope that we will reach an agreement, and it will become another step towards the implementation of the European vector." He also drew attention to the fact that Turkmenistan never removed, and will not remove the European vector of its export from the agenda.
