Russian military opens fire on Georgian police officers in conflict area

Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 19 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia/ Georgian police officers in the Dvani village in the Kaspi region located in the Tskhinvali area of Georgia-Russia conflict have been fired from the territory controlled by Russian troops.

The fire was opened from machine-guns and lasted 20 minutes, Georgian Interior Ministry reported.

Fire was opened on a Georgian police pickup. As a result, two employees of the Georgian Interior Ministry, Levan Gogilashvili and Mamuka Janiashvili, were wounded. Both were taken to the Gori military hospital.
