Since Dec. 27, as a result of Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip, 488 people were killed and nearly 2,970 people were wounded, Press TV reported. Most of killed and wounded are women and children.
In Saturday evening Israel began large-scale ground operations in the Gaza Strip with artillery and infantry.
