Turkish Armed Forces General Staff called on the media to carry out their work aware of the responsibility for their actions
The reason for this statement had become the latest publication on developments related to the suicide of an retired officer Abdulkerim Kirca. The Turkish press has published serious charges on his criminal activities. The message placed on the official website of the Armed Forces General Staff said that the media should be guided by common sense.
A number of media publications issued papers related to Kirca's death. The article was called execution without trial. The report said that the allegation were contrary to human rights and morality.
At the funeral ceremony for retired colonel Abdulkerim Kirca attended by numerous military, including Chief of General Staff Ilker Bashbug. The ceremony also attended by Interior Minister Bechir Atalai.
