The second summit of the heads of parliaments of Turkic-speaking states will take place in autumn in Baku, the press service of the Senate of Kazakhstan.
"Today a telephone conversation took place between the Head of Staff of Senate Murat Nurtleuov with the Secretary General of the Turkish Parliament Ali Osman Kojo. The main attention during the conversation was paid to preparation for the Second Summit of Heads of Parliaments to be held this autumn in Baku," the press release of the Senate said.
Discussions were also held on interaction of the parliaments of the two countries to further develop inter-parliamentary dialogue between Kazakhstan and Turkey, the document says
"An agreement was reached to hold summer meetings of the heads of staffs of the parliaments of the Turkic-speaking countries in order to prepare the agenda and program of the second parliamentary conference of the fraternal peoples," - the press release says.
During the first conference of heads of parliaments of Turkic states in Istanbul November last year, was signed an Agreement on Establishment of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries, which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
