The work on the drafts of the Azerbaijani-Latvian documents to be signed during the official visit of the Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga to Azerbaijan on 3-4 October 2005 is underway, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend.
A number of inter-governmental agreements on the cooperation in the economic, scientific-technical and cultural spheres are expected to be signed. The sides elaborate also the issue of opening the direct air communication between Baku and Riga. The drafts documents will be finalized shortly during the visit to Baku of the working expert group from Riga.
It should be noted, the President of Latvia will pay a visit to Azerbaijan in the framework of the tour of the South Caucasus countries on 3-8 October. The government delegation, representatives of the business circles and the deputies from the cooperation group with these countries in the Seym of Latvia will accompany the President during her visit.
