The President of Azerbaijan signed an order on measures to be taken for alleviating the impact of the landslide on the western part of Mingachevir water storage, Trend reports.
On 28-30 October, heavy rains in the water storage territory have caused a landslide that imposed serious threats to several water storage equipment. According to the order of the State Head, a governmental commission will be created to eliminate the problem. The first Vice Primer of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Emergency Situations Commission, Abid Sharifov, has been appointed as Head of the Commission. The Commission includes appropriate ministry and departmental heads.
The commission will be responsible for resolving the problems for the installations of the water storage and to prepare project-estimate documents.
