The visit to Azerbaijan of the U.S. Deputy State Secretary Assistant, Barry Lowenkron, scheduled to take place on 27-28 November is to be cancelled, the Head of the Press Service of the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, Jonathan Henik, informed Trend.
According to Henik, Barry Lowenkron is responsible for democracy, human rights and labor, and these subjects were to be discussed during meetings with the senior officials of the Azerbaijani Government. However, this will now not be possible and it is considered that the visit will take place at another time, Henik stated.
On 27-28 November, the Summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States will take place in Minsk, which is expected to be attended by the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.
