The court has punished famous Azerbaijani rap singer.
The Serious Crimes Court passed a sentence on rap singer Huseyn Darya, Hikmat Shahverdiyev and Baylar Ganbarov on March 10. They are accused of acquisition and storing of narcotics for non-sale purposes.
The court sentenced Darya to one, Shahverdiyev one and Ganbarov to 7 years in jail.
The rap singer will obligatorily be treated of drug addiction upon the court decision.
Darya was detained by the Interior Ministry Central Narcotics Combat Department on Dec. 2, 2008.
Narcotics and a gas pistol were confiscated from him.
Darya said he had bought narcotics from Ganbarov and Shahverdiyev.
