ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 4. China's Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes signed an agreement to build a plant in Kazakhstan for the production of high-strength nodular iron pipes, Trend reports
Today, the Kazakhstan-China investment round table was held in China with representatives from various sectors of Chinese business. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov represented Kazakhstan and attended the VII China International Import Expo after the round table.
The agreement was made jointly with the Kazakhstan company Qarmet, within the framework of the Kazakhstan-China investment round table, where Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov took part.
The enterprise is set to churn out a whopping 200,000 tons of products each year, with a hefty investment of $161 million in the pipeline.
Projects tied to the nuts and bolts of construction, modernization, reconstruction, expansion, and upgrading of housing and communal services in Kazakhstan will make use of the products. This was one of eight commercial agreements inked during the investment round table in China, with a total value of a whopping $2.5 billion.
