ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 23. Over the past five years, the volume of IT services exports has increased from $30 million to $600 million, said the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan during talks with a resident of one of the largest American technology companies, Trend reports.

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov, discussed cooperation in digitalization, IT education, and the development of Kazakhstan's technological ecosystem with the Chairman of the Board, CEO, and President of one of the largest American technology companies, EPAM Systems, Arkadiy Dobkin.

During the conversation, they examined current global technology market trends and the prospects for creating new joint business solutions and research initiatives.

Regarding the development of IT education, both parties emphasized the importance of the EPAM Kazakhstan training center, which has trained over 5000 specialists. As part of the Tech Orda program, the company has trained more than 700 students in key IT skills, including Java, Python, and Data Engineering. This year, 300 more students have been selected for training.

In turn, Arkadiy Dobkin highlighted the favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan and made several proposals for further cooperation in digitalization and the introduction of new technologies into the real economy sector.

Following the meeting, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry was tasked with providing increased support for projects and ensuring the necessary assistance.

EPAM Systems is a global leader in software development and consulting. Today, EPAM operates in more than 17 cities in Kazakhstan and employs approximately 1000 people. Services worth over $40 million were exported in 2024 as part of participation in Astana Hub.
