ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 25. A project has been launched in Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region for the construction of the first alkylate production plant, which will be implemented by the company INTERTRANS C.A., Trend reports.

"Currently, there is no alkylate production in our country, and the implementation of this project will be a significant step toward the production of high-quality fuel that meets the strictest environmental standards K-5 (Euro-5), and will provide the market in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries with an environmentally clean, high-octane component for automotive and aviation gasoline," said Murat Kudiarbek, General Director of INTERTRANS C.A.

It was also noted that during the construction phase of the plant, more than 500 jobs will be created, and during the operation of the main production, 125 permanent jobs will be provided. The production capacity will be 97.600 tons per year. This will provide new employment opportunities for the region's residents and contribute to the improvement of the region's infrastructure. The total cost of the project is 35 billion tenge (approximately $66.5 million).

To note, alkylate is a high-octane gasoline component that significantly improves gasoline properties and reduces carbon dioxide and toxic emissions into the atmosphere. The project not only marks the emergence of a new high-tech enterprise in Kazakhstan but also represents another step in increasing the depth of oil refining.
