ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 19. In the year 2025, a total of 16 new international aviation routes are slated for implementation, said Deputy Minister of Transport Talgat Lastaev during a government meeting, Trend reports.
As articulated by Lastayev, the Kazakh Academy of Civil Aviation is strategically positioning itself to secure accreditation from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency by year-end, aimed at enhancing the competency framework for Kazakh pilots and engineers through rigorous training protocols. The sector necessitates an influx of 500-600 new professionals each year, while the current workforce in Kazakhstan's civil aviation domain stands at 23,000 individuals.
To note, Kazakhstan allocates fiscal resources to support 26 strategically important air routes annually. These encompass pathways to Usharal, Urjar, Turkestan, Aktau, and various other high-traffic tourist destinations. In the previous fiscal cycle, the refurbishment of terminal infrastructures and minor aerodrome facilities was successfully executed in the locales of Usharal, Urjar, and Balkhash.
