BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Energy production in Azerbaijan amounted to 28.4 billion kWh, while consumption reached 24.2 billion kWh last year, the country's Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during the parliament's plenary session on the report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan for 2024, Trend reports.
He mentioned that, under the agreement signed with the UAE's Masdar company, the foundation for the Bilasuvar solar power plant with a capacity of 445 MW, the Neftchala solar power plant with a capacity of 315 MW, and the Absheron-Khazar wind power plant with a capacity of 240 MW was laid in 2024.
"In cooperation with other foreign partners, the construction of the Shafag solar power plant and the Khizi-Absheron wind power plant, each with a capacity of 240 MW, is ongoing," Asadov added.
