ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 7. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov met with local farmers to discuss various support measures, including funding for spring fieldwork, Trend reports.
In the course of the meeting, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov shared that this year, the volume of preferential lending under favorable lending programs has been increased to a record 700 billion tenge ($1.4 billion), compared to 580 billion tenge ($1.16 billion) allocated in 2024.
In addition, the minister noted that the government started accepting applications for soft loans for 2025 in November last year, which is different from previous years when funds under the Ken Dala program were made available in May, at the peak of the planting season.
