BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Kazakhstan’s oil production is expected to reach 2.2 million barrels per day (mb/d) in 2026, Trend reports.
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), output in the first quarter of 2026 is projected to stand at 2.21 mb/d.
The agency has also revised its forecast for 2025, raising its estimate by 0.3 mb/d compared to the previous outlook, bringing the figure to 2.14 mb/d.
Based on the updated forecast, Kazakhstan’s oil production is expected to average 2.08 mb/d in the first quarter of 2025 and gradually increase to 2.16 mb/d by the fourth quarter.
For 2024, the IEA estimates that Kazakhstan’s average oil production stood at 1.88 mb/d.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan plans to produce 96.2 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2025, according to Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev, who spoke at a recent government meeting.
