BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The volume of loans provided to the transport sector in Azerbaijan by banks and non-bank credit institutions reached 1.89 billion manat ($1.1 billion) as of May 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
indicates that this metric exhibited stability relative to the
preceding month, signifying an augmentation of 347.1 million manat
($204.1 million) or 22.4 percent in juxtaposition to the
corresponding timeframe of the prior year.
The CBA additionally disclosed that the aggregate credit portfolio
allocated to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy reached
29.9 billion manat ($17.5 billion).
This signifies a month-over-month escalation of 219.4 million manat
($129 million), translating to a 0.7 percent uptick, alongside a
year-on-year augmentation of 3.9 billion manat ($2.2 billion),
reflecting a robust 15.1 percent growth rate.
