BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Nearly 8.7 billion manat ($5.14 billion) in taxes was collected for the state budget through the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy from January through June of the current year, achieving 105.7 percent of the forecast.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Tax Service shows that compared to the same period last year, tax revenues increased by 421.6 million manat (about $249 million), or 5.1 percent.
Non-oil and gas sector revenues reached 6.4 billion manat ($3.79
billion), achieving a fulfillment rate of 103.6 percent against the
forecast.
In juxtaposition to the corresponding timeframe of the preceding
fiscal year, the tax inflows emanating from this sector exhibited
an augmentation of 546.8 million manat ($322 million), translating
to a growth rate of 9.3 percent.
In the fiscal landscape, a substantial 73.8 percent of the tax
revenue was derived from the non-oil and gas sector, while a
complementary 26.2 percent was attributed to the oil and gas
sector.
