TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 9. Uzbekistan’s international reserves totaled $48.54 billion as of July 1, marking a decrease of $1.15 billion, or 2.25 percent, from the previous month’s peak of $49.66 billion, Trend reports.
The most significant contraction was observed in the foreign
exchange reserves, which diminished from $11.4 billion in May to
$9.5 billion in June.
Concurrently, capital allocations in global equities experienced a
marginal uptick, ascending from $706.3 million to $708.8
million.
Notwithstanding the aggregate contraction in reserves, the
valuation of gold assets escalated by $763 million, culminating in
a total of $38.4 billion.
The tangible mass of gold reserves experienced an uptick of 0.3
million troy ounces, elevating the aggregate to 11.7 million troy
ounces.
In the interim, Uzbekistan is strategically reinforcing its stature
as a preeminent global gold purveyor, with export revenues surging
to $6.49 billion in the initial quintet of months of 2025.
