BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. Azerbaijan exported 286.6 million cubic meters of natural gas to Greece in the first four months of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee shows that the expenditure associated with the acquisition of this quantum of gas amounted to $163.4 million.
The outbound shipment of natural gas to Greece experienced a contraction of 28.6 million cubic meters, reflecting a 9.1 percent decline in volumetric metrics. Conversely, the fiscal valuation surged by $30.7 million, translating to a 23.1 percent increase in monetary terms, relative to the corresponding timeframe of the previous year.
In the initial quadrimester of 2024, Azerbaijan facilitated the exportation of 315.2 million cubic meters of natural gas, generating a fiscal influx of $132.7 million to the Hellenic Republic.
It is noteworthy that during the period spanning January to April of the current fiscal year, the aggregate volume of natural gas exports originating from Azerbaijan reached 8.2 billion cubic meters, with a corresponding valuation of $3.1 billion. Concurrently, during the initial quadrimester of the annum, the throughput of natural gas ingressing into Azerbaijan reached 176.5 million cubic meters, translating to a fiscal valuation of $27.2 million.
Throughout this timeframe, Azerbaijan engaged in the exportation of natural gas to various markets, including Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece, concurrently facilitating imports from Russia and Turkmenistan.
