BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. The volume of electricity produced at the “Mishni” and “Alkhasli” small hydropower stations has been disclosed.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy indicates that the “Mishni” station, with a total capacity of 8.25 megawatts (MW) and equipped with two 4.125 MW hydro units of the derivation type, has generated 38.4 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity since its commissioning.
Additionally, the “Alkhasli” station, with a total capacity of 6.0 MW and two 3.0 MW hydro units, has produced 25.6 million kWh of electricity since it became operational.
Both plants, commissioned on August 25, 2023, are located in the Lachin district on the Hakari River, with the “Mishni” and “Alkhasli” facilities situated on its largest branch, the Hochaz River.
These small hydropower plants produce environmentally friendly green energy.
