The court of the Georgian Poti port took NEW STAR-1 ship's Captain Salim Kendri which belongs to Sierra Leone into custody.
The border police said they imposed ransom worth 4,000 lari on each crew member and 2,000 lari on each passenger.
Coastguard of the Georgian Border Police detained the ship "NEW STAR-1" under the flag of Sierra Leone for their illegal entry into a special economic zone in the territorial waters of Georgia on April 29.
