Private companies produced 3.9 million tons of steel in Iran during the 11 months of this year, the IRNA news agency reported. The Iranian new year begins in March.
The steel products mainly included armature and iron sheets. The production of iron bars increased by 60 percent during the report period.
The steel production will increase by 9.5 percent to 11.9 million tons this year, the FARS news agency reported quoting the Iranian Industry and Mines Ministry. The figure was 10.87 million tons last year.
