The Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) are exploring the possibility of producing textile synthetic fibers, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.
It is expected that the main source will be the products of the polymer plant in the Kiyanly settlement (west of Turkmenistan) built by companies from South Korea and commissioned in 2018.
Experts say that a complete chain is being created in the gas industry of Turkmenistan: from the extraction and processing of raw materials to the manufacture and sale of products with high added value.
KITECH was established in 1989 in the city of Cheonan and is the only public scientific and research institute in South Korea focused on the development and commercialization of production technologies in order to assist small and medium-sized businesses.
There are plans to build another gas-chemical complex for the production of polypropylene, linear low-density polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and liquid chlorine in Kiyanly settlement.
The gas chemical projects to be implemented in Turkmenistan include construction of complexes for the production of synthetic gasoline, rubber and polystyrene, methyl diethanolamine, polyvinyl acetate and other polymers.
