Japan investors stated their interest in investing in Kazakhstan’s economy and disclosed information on implementation of existing investment projects in the country, Trend reports with reference to press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The information was disclosed during the visit of Kazakh delegation to Tokyo, within the framework of which separate meetings with leadership of a number of Japan companies took place.
Thus, the fourth largest logistics corporation in the world Nippon Express talked of official opening of office in Central Asia, which is to take place in August in Kazakhstan. The Hitachi Construction Machinery company, which has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2004, talked of currently developing plan for creation of regional center of mining equipment technical service.
“In turn, the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) is planning to further cooperate in developing technologies for processing of rare earth metals. The leadership of the largest bank of Japan Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation proposed to increase the use of the credit line, which was opened in cooperation with Baiterek of Kazakhstan,” the report said.
Furthermore, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev, which headed the Kazakh delegation, met with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kenji Yamada.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of Kazakh-Japan economic cooperation. The Japan party stated their readiness to support initiatives of Kazakhstan in activation of investments cooperation between the countries.
