The Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Innovative Development, together with the Korakulchilik Association, have been instructed to take measures to increase the production of rare medicines based on karakul stock including Thymoptin injection, which restores the immune system, and Eritim medication, used in anemia, to 10 times.

According to official estimates, in 2021, 12 thymus producers from the Bukhara, Kashkadarya and Navoi regions will increase the production of valuable raw materials for medicine to 266 kilograms, and in 2022, to 316 kilograms.

The decree also provides for subsidies from the budget to exporters of karakulchi (skins of the unborn lamb) at the rate of 75,000 soums per skin. It is assumed that in 2020, 22,000 of such skins will be exported from Uzbekistan, in 2021 – 26,600, in 2022 – 31,600.
