The ferrosilicon plant to be built in Jowkar District of Malayer County of Hamadan Province in Iran will be commissioned by March 2021, CEO of Ferroalloy Asa Azarin Company Akbar Kohzadi told ISNA, Trend reports.
According to him, the plant will produce 20,000 tons of ferrosilicon annually.
So far, 170 billion rials (app. $4.04 million) have been spent on the plant's construction, Kohzadi said.
"Failure to provide electricity and external equipment during the construction process delays the works," he said.
Kohzadi added that the commissioning of the first phase of the plant will be followed by the construction of an additional six phases.
"After its commissioning, the plant will bring Iran 50-60 million euros annually," he said.
