Deputy Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehrdad Jamali Aronaghi has announced the possibility of partial clearance of luxury goods from the Customs.
Aronaghi announced the possibility of partial clearance of the luxury good known as "Goods Group 4", based on decisions taken at the meeting of the Council of Commerce, Trend reports citing IRNA.
“Considering the issue of clearance of luxury goods, following a meeting of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Industry and Customs, new decisions have been taken at the seventh meeting of the Council of Commerce,” said Jamali Aronaghi.
“The business process whether renewal or editing of order or clearance registrations will be allowed for those cases subject to Group 4 tariffs,” he said. “Except for cars.”
Last Iranian year (ended on March 20, 2019), imports of the luxury goods known as goods of group 4 including clothing and textiles, kitchen appliances, work tools, household appliances and cars were prohibited in the country.
