By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Georgian TMT company (canning factory in Kaspi) invested 1 million lari ($311,210) in increasing production, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Zurab Uchumbegashvili, the managing partner of the company noted, that TMT aims to adapt to the local market excerpt from the exporting markets.
"We purchased several machines, which increased production. We were producing up to 250,000 jars of different volumes for export to the international market, today this number has increased to 1 million cans," noted Uchumbegashvili.
As he mentioned, 90 percent of the production was exported and only participated in tenders in Georgia. The reason for this, according to him, was the problems in cooperation with local companies.
However, their approach has changed since 2020 and the products of TMT are available in different stores of Georgia.
The company has been working since 2006 and produces up to 60 products. Some 90 people are employed in the company.
