Some 33.1 percent out of the total export from Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic to Azerbaijan accounted for metals and its products over the first seven months of 2020, Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan on Foreign Economic Relations, Ruslan Sitdykov told Trend.
In the first seven months of this year, the following metals and its products were exported from the Republic of Bashkortostan: unalloyed wire rod, wire from unalloyed steel, steel pipes, except for large diameter and seamless pipes, seamless steel pipes, ferrous metal containers for compressed gas, other products of ferrous metals, steel cables, ropes and similar products, steel springs, springs and sheets for them, fittings of ferrous metals, other cast products of ferrous metals, aluminum fittings, other products of copper, fasteners of ferrous metals.
Wood products made up 21.1 percent of all exports to Azerbaijan: plywood, chipboard, profiled sawn timber, fiberboard, sawn timber, Sitdykov said.
He stressed that food products accounted for 15 percent of exports to Azerbaijan: wheat, flour from cereals, except for wheat.
Some 12 percent of exports from the Republic of Bashkortostan to Azerbaijan were chemical products and rubber: caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, carbonates, polyvinyl chloride, polyacetals, polyesters, polycarbonates, cellulose liquor, single-layer plastic films and sheets, self-adhesive films, detergents and cleaning agents, other inorganic compounds of non-metals with oxygen and acids, other chemical products, other plastic products, pickling preparations, other rubber products, soldering and welding, ready-made adhesives and adhesives; 10.7 percent - mineral products: oil products, sulfur, granite, sandstone and other building stone and other products.
Six enterprises in the field of agriculture, hotel business, public catering, construction and trade with Azerbaijani capital operate in Bashkortostan.
