The number of licenses issued for the establishment of enterprises in the industrial sector of Iran increased by 40 percent during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through February 18, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to the statistics, 36,100 enterprises were licensed for establishment over the 11 months. While in the same period last Iranian year, 25,800 enterprises were licensed for establishment.
“A total 5.92 quadrillion rials (about $141 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises. This is an increase of 72.8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 3.42 quadrillion rials (about $81.6 billion),” the statistics said.
Moreover, 810,000 people are planned to be employed in these enterprises. This is an increase of 40.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. However, 576,000 people were to be employed in the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.
