Iran’s exports through the Bazargan border checkpoint in the West Azerbaijan Province (north-western Iran) increased by 64 percent in terms of volume during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Director General of Bazargan Customs Office Mojtaba Bazgir told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to him, 86,200 tons of goods were exported through the Bazargan border checkpoint in 7 months.
Bazgir added that the value of exported products amounted to $337 million.
The director also noted that other Iranian customs exported 724,000 tons of goods worth $1.06 billion through Bazargan border checkpoint for the mentioned period.
As reported, the Bazargan border checkpoint is located on the border with Turkey (Gurbulak). There are 5 border checkpoints in Iran's West Azerbaijan Province. Three of them are on the border with Turkey, one with Azerbaijan and one with Iraq.
