Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 September / Trend corr. A.Badalova/ Non-OPEC oil supplies will comprise 51mln bpd in 2009, while the amount is 50mln bpd for 2008, OPEC said in a report placed on its official website.
In its September report, OPEC decreased its forecast of non-OPEC countries' oil supply for 2008 by 11,000 bpd. Non-OPEC countries' oil supply growth will total 580,000 barrels in 2008. Non-OPEC countries will supply 49.81mln barrels of oil per day in the 3rd quarter (Q3) of 2008 and 50.99mln bpd in the 4th quarter (Q4).
Former Soviet Union (FSU) countries' oil supplies will amount to 12.79mln bpd this year, which is 270,000 bpd more than in 2007. FSU will supply 12.79mln bpd in Q3 and 13.1mln bpd in Q4. In 2009, FSU's oil supplies will total 13.2mln bpd.
According to OPEC, United States' oil supply will average 7.73mln bpd in 2008, which is 230,000 barrels more than last year.
Oil production in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries will average 19.97mln bpd this year, which is 170,000 barrels less than in 2007. OECD countries will supply 19.6mln bpd in Q3 of 2008 and 20.31mln bpd in Q4 of 2008.
World oil demand will grow by 900,000 bpd to 87.71mln bpd in 2009. Growth of demand for non-OPEC oil will reach 1.2mln bpd in 2009. Demand for OPEC oil will total 31.33mln bpd in 2009, which is 720,000 bpd less than in 2008. OPEC oil demand will comprise 31.4mln bpd in Q3 of 2009 and 32.48 bpd in Q4 of 2009.
World oil demand will rise by 1mln bpd to 86.9mln bpd in 2008, which is 30,000 bpd less than OPEC forecasted in August. Demand for OPEC oil will average 32.05mln this year, which is 110,000 bpd less than in 2007. OPEC oil demand will total 32.09mln in Q3 of 2008 and 32.44mln bpd in Q4 of 2008.
Oil demand in OECD countries will fall 0.3mln bpd to 48.6mln bpd in 2009, while in 2008 the volume comprised 48.9mln bpd. Oil demand in FSU will total 4.1mln bpd in 2008 and 2009.
