Roughly 365 drills were liquidated to establish the oil museum in the territory of Bibi-Heybat, Farkhad Askerov head of Bibi-Heybat Oil and Gas Extraction Department of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) said in an interview with official press.
Operations continue to improve ecology of Bibi-Heybat field as complex actions for 2006-2010. In 2008 actions were made to prevent pouring of reservoir water evolving from exploitation of drills.
Roughly 174 hectares area was resoiled. About 35,000 trees were planted, Askerov said.
The museum will be situated in Sabail region of Baku. It will be located on oil refined and resoiled 45 hectares area of Bibi-Heybat Oil and Gas Extraction Department.
The museum complex will consist of open and close zones. There will be exhibition galleries, a cinema hall like multiplex, children's museum and Internet club, several cafés, souvenir shops, meeting halls, scientific-research center, a library, centralized SOCAR archive, guest house in the open zone. The closed zone will include a building of museum. Park complex and motor parking place are planned to be constructed in the open zone.
High quality construction meeting the international standards, materials and equipment will be used in construction of new museum, as well as new technologies and innovations.
